With scope crossing both the architectural and on-site delivery phases of the project, the Saudi Arabia pavilion represented a significant body of work for Raven AV. Joining the project at the conclusion of the Detailed Design phase, our work comprised a fast-paced audit of the originally provisioned loudspeaker, intercom, control systems, and technical infrastructure, alongside a design sprint to design and specify appropriate technologies to fit-out the pavilion’s VIP meeting and presentation spaces.
One noticeable facet of the pavilion is, ironically, the absence of visible loudspeakers. With every loudspeaker being recessed within the walls of each space, intense coordination was required to achieve a result that balanced both acoustic and aesthetic needs.
With the audiovisual designs rationalised, our scope shifted to the on-site delivery, with commissioning and tuning of the d&b Audiotechnik Soundscape systems spread through the pavilion being our primary responsibility. This work involved close collaboration with both Coda to Coda, 59 Studio, and Squint/Opera through to the opening of Expo 2025.
